Party Animals

I often have “laptop days” with my brother at the gorgeous Tin Of Sardines so we can co-work with a brew and a view of the beach. More often than not the coffees are followed by a couple of beers as we wrap up for the day, which possibly contributed to the very “relaxed” drawing style of this cat in a party hat!

But I enjoyed the whimsy of the concept, so after a bit of tweaking, the final Party Cat design emerged. I drew him some friends to party with, including a sausage dog, rabbit and pigeon, and the Party Animals collection was complete.

The set of 15 designs is made up of 12 of the UK’s favourite pets, and 3 matching patterns featuring party hats, balloons, and all of the animals together.

Playful, naive drawings like this are absolutely my favourite to do as they’re so fun and free, and the result is a great way to send a bit of silliness- perfect for birthdays or other celebrations.
